I had asked for an estimate and did not receive one. I had expressed when I called that I had diagnosed the problem and could get the parts (used by the dealer) for under$140 shipping included. My Bil is a VW master tech. I was told something to the effect that your business had the parts. At this time, I should have been told that the price was going to be triple for the parts..or given an estimate.
I was under the impression that it should have been $125 parts (plus an honest markup) and labor (maybe 4 hours). Somehow the bill ended up being $655. I would like clarification to understand. I have waited a week for a return phone call to discuss the bill. I would like an itemized bill with the price per part and the hours worked and the hourly labor rate.
As it stands now, I can’t see trusting to bring my vehicle here in the future nor recommended this business. It was either a lack of communication among staff members or deceitful price gauging.
I am genuinely disappointed.
